Two Countries, One Plan (https://twocountriesoneplan.com) is a personal blog run by a married couple. We keep the personal data we handle to a minimum, and this page explains what we collect, why, and what your choices are.
What we collect
Contact form. When you write to us through our contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit. We use this information only to read and reply to your message. We do not sell it, share it with third parties for marketing, or add you to any mailing list without your consent.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use this site — for example, which pages are read most and roughly where visitors come from. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your browser type, device, and pages visited. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally to us. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical logs (such as IP addresses and access times) for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses cookies for analytics (described above). Some third-party services we link to — including affiliate partners — may set their own cookies if you click through to their sites. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Affiliate links
Some posts contain affiliate links. If you click one, the affiliate network may use cookies to attribute your visit. We receive aggregate reporting from these programs, not information that identifies you personally. See our Disclaimer for our full affiliate disclosure.
Embedded content
Articles may include embedded content (for example, YouTube videos or social media posts). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the other website directly, and those sites may collect data about you under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep data
Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
Your rights
You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Just reach out through our contact page and we’ll respond as quickly as we can. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights under local privacy laws.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we add new tools (such as an email newsletter or comments), we will update this page and the date at the top before they go live. Questions? Contact us.
